After little more than one year of construction, Jaguar Land Rover (short: “JLR) opened its world’s first so-called” Statement Site “in July 2019 in Munich/Germany.
And this project indeed is a statement – with an exclamation mark!
But on a closer look, the statement site is more than just a single statement: it is the bundling of everything that makes up and represents this brand(s) and their high-quality products.
On the one hand, it is a brand world – for this company, which unites the three most important traditional British car brands under one roof, there are three exclamation marks, so to speak. There is probably hardly a driver license holder in the world who does not have anything in common with at least one of these brands – and certainly something positive. This image should now be celebrated with the concept of the statement site, strengthened and made accessible to the broad mass of potential customers.
On the other hand, this concept set an exclamation mark in terms of marketing, sales and service. This statement site is also a car dealership in the broadest sense – “car dealership 2.0”, so to speak. “Hardware” (note: the motor vehicles) and the brand experience merge directly into one another. In addition to the impressive vehicles on different floors, there are various futuristic interactive configuration areas, projections and displays, as well as various lounge areas. The entire building is discreetly supplied with audio-video content that can be monitored, controlled and updated directly from the central corporate marketing in Birmingham.
The JLR Group is rightly proud of this “egg-laying wool milk sow – a mixture of a car dealership and a brand experience world. Also proud to have made it despite last year’s British national problems. And happy about the local German service providers who have brought all their knowledge and experience to bear in this ambitious project.
And we, AVE Verhengsten GmbH & Co, are also proud and grateful to have been there. On behalf of the international brand agency Innerworkings Inc., AVE installed the complete media technology, consisting of 28 monitors between 43 “and 84”, an autonomous event projection location, the complete sound system with 140 loudspeakers, and the central media control for the 5-story building . Our company was also responsible for installing the entire fiber-optic cable infrastructure for the media technology, and in some cases the special steel suspensions, the necessary AV electrical sub-distribution and, of course, the central media control system.
We as AV service providers have encountered this form of order bundling more and more frequently in recent years. After all, it also makes sense: Knowing exactly the cable routes and installation points of complex AV systems is of great advantage, especially for later smooth support and service. The service partner can act faster, making it cheaper for the operator.
In free and friendly coordination with the operator of the Stement Site Münbchen – from the Bierschneider company – we can take a tour with the building owners there, provided they want to plan something similar for your project.
