Skoda Octavia: the big “eight by eight” of the Volkswagen Group
Nowerdays you can see him rolling more often through the streets – the new Skoda Octavia – the eighth post-war model in its eighth facelift. It has been on the market since the end of 2019, and if we want to believe the Volkswagen’s first accounting numbers, it is already more popular with the customers than the previous model. No wonder, because it looks really sleek. And it is also an unwritten truth that the countless technical innovations and further developments will be more than worthwhile for the customers.

This attack on the relevant market segment is of course no accident – it is based on meticulous preparation in every respect. And this affects not only the design, development and production of the vehicle, but especially the form and scope of the marketing.
As you know, the first impression counts the most, and so it is more than understandable that Skoda did not want to make a mistake here either.
The world premiere in Prague in November was marked by imposing “first impressions” that should burn into the perception and memory of the audience.
Of course, only the most experienced partners were hired for such an important show.
Under the leadership of the agencies Jack Morton Worldwide, FischerAppelt and Adhoc, a more than worthy show event was created for the approx. 500 invited VIP guests in Prague, in which AVE Verhengsten GmbH & Co put their skills and almost 50 years of experience in the field Show media, as well as the extensive rental material inventory from the areas of light, sound, video and show control.
The entire project including delivery, assembly and temporary storage of the empties was carried out in just 7 days. On the part of AVE, over 140 employees were involved who, in addition to the truss system, also assembled and put into operation over 400 spotlights, the complete sound system for the hall and TV, and a tight 50m² mobile LED wall.
“It was a nice project that we are proud of given this short time and sometimes difficult framework conditions,” says project manager Jan Jakob, who also acts as the manager for the event area of the AVE Hanover branch.
